Job summary

ProMach is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to own the design process for packaging machinery. You will create 3D models and drawings, draft BOMs, and collaborate across Sales, Purchasing, Production, and Aftermarket to meet customer specs and on-time delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's in mechanical engineering, 4+ years of design experience, and proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Travel may be required; a strong team player mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in mechanical design or application engineering.
• SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience required.
• Experience with designing packaging machinery and understanding assembly principles.
• Ability to use engineering charts, and precision measuring instruments.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems/sensors used in packaging machinery.
• Excellent computer skills including MS Office and ERP systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to work well in a team.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer specifications and design mechanical components of machinery.
• Create 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks/AutoCAD and prepare BOMs in ERP (Syteline).
• Draft multi-view parts and assembly drawings with GD&T.
• Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Production, and Aftermarket on machine specs and delivery.
• Revise drawings and BOMs; manage engineering change notifications.
• Support manufacturing to ensure proper fabrication, assembly, and testing.
• Review milestones to ensure timely project execution.
