Middleby Packaging Solutions LLC seeks a seasoned Mechanical Design & Automation Engineer to lead design, specification, and testing of MAP packaging machines. You will automate drawing creation with SolidWorks macros and integrate data with ERP/CRM systems.

The role requires strong CAD skills, energy and mass balance calculations, and collaborative leadership on cross-functional teams. Hybrid work setup with international travel offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5-10 years of related mechanical design experience.
• Experience with CAD software for design documentation (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD).
• Proficient in developing reporting macros to export data to secondary programs such as CRM.
• Experience designing complex machinery for food packaging or MAP systems is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, specification, and testing of automated packaging machinery (MAP).
• Develop and implement SolidWorks macros to export BOM data.
• Create VBA, Excel, and Batch macros to automate drawings and docs.
• Maintain BOM and inventory data integrity in ERP/CRM systems.
• Perform engineering calculations for mass/energy balance, loads, and tolerances.
• Supervise and guide mechanical designers and drafters on projects.
