Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or related field required.
• 3+ years of mechanical design experience in power electronics or outdoor equipment.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, NX.
• Experience with multi-physics simulations (FEA/CFD).
• Understanding of thermal management for power electronics.
• Knowledge of IP/NEMA outdoor equipment design standards.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for outdoor PV and ESS inverter platforms.
• Develop 3D models, drawings, BOMs and engineering documentation.
• Define architecture, clearances, and serviceability with cross-functional teams.
• Design outdoor-rated enclosures addressing IP, sealing, corrosion, and cooling needs.
• Integrate cooling components, airflow, heat sinks, fans, and related features.
• Perform structural, thermal, and tolerance analyses to validate designs.
• Coordinate prototype builds, environmental and mechanical testing.
• Analyze field issues and implement design improvements for reliability.
• Apply manufacturability and lifecycle cost considerations; participate in design reviews.
