TMEIC seeks a Field Engineer to support solar inverter installations and maintenance, acting as the factory expert for inverter issues. You will analyze failures, perform commissioning, and provide on-site and remote technical support to clients and engineers.

The role requires 75% travel, strong communication skills, and a solid background in electrical engineering and PV systems. Expect a dynamic, customer-facing environment with safety-focused responsibilities.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor of science in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering field or equivalent via education and/or work experience.
• 3 years of field engineering, customer support, development, or testing experience of photovoltaic inverter in the field or laboratory environment.
• Knowledge of power conversion and distribution transformers.
• Ability to work in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain & snow.
• Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts.
• Demonstrated positive leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook.
• Availability to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 75%.

Aufgaben

• Advise clients and engineers to resolve issues as factory expert for solar inverters.
• Analyze client equipment failures using diagnostics tools.
• Provide technical support to clients and other engineers when not in the field.
• Perform commissioning, installations, and performance testing of PV inverter systems.
• Troubleshoot, isolate, repair or replace defective components.
• Report hardware/software/design deficiencies to factory and implement corrective actions.
• Update CRM with case information for reports.
• Prepare service advisories and issue to clients and field engineers.
• Write and review field reports for clients.
• Ensure safety qualifications and compliance with company/client requirements.
• Process warranty replacements and assist with expediting.
• Respond to client issues after hours on rotating duty.
• Investigate field changes, report problems and propose solutions.
