Job summary

RINA seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer in Houston, TX (also Sunrise, FL and Chicago/Lisle, IL) to deliver high-quality mechanical design solutions across project phases. You will develop drawings, BOMs, and documentation per international standards while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires 5+ years in mechanical design for industrial plants or energy systems, and proficiency in software such as PV Elite, ANSYS, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD. Travel up to 25% is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience for industrial plants or energy systems.
• Solid understanding of mechanical design codes and standards (ASME VIII, EN 13445, API, NFPA)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update mechanical design specs, data sheets, and requisitions.
• Review requirements to define design inputs and create GA drawings and BOMs.
• Ensure design deliverables meet ASME, ISO, API, NFPA and internal standards across all project phases.
