Job summary

Regal Rexnord seeks a Design Engineer II (Mechanical) to lead mechanical design for major NPD and existing products, focusing on sound and vibration optimization and sustainability testing.

You will collaborate with Mechanical Engineering leadership, support lab testing, and drive value engineering opportunities while leveraging CAD/FEA/CFD tools to improve performance and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years in mechanical design of industrial products or components.
• Strong CAD experience (SolidWorks) and MS Office.
• Experience in sound and vibration optimization and DFMEA.
• Root cause analysis experience using formal problem solving methods.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and component selection.
• Ability to perform vibration/noise testing and modal analysis in labs and field.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design efforts for NPD and existing products.
• Model, test and analyze mechanical systems to minimize noise and optimize acoustic performance.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities in current designs and products.
• Manage project priorities and milestones across the team.
• Prepare drawings, specifications and release documentation.
• Integrate components, liaise with suppliers, and provide technical support.
• Create test plans, monitor results and summarize findings.
• Promote safety and maintain ISO/quality practices.
• Coordinate PPAP, supplier development when relevant.
