Job summary

Regal Rexnord Corp is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Current Products to design and optimize motors, actuators, and motion control solutions. You will develop mechanical concepts, perform analyses, validate performance, and support customer applications, collaborating with electromagnetic, manufacturing, and field teams.

The role requires 2+ years of hands-on mechanical design experience, strong CAD skills, and the ability to communicate across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
• 2+ years of mechanical design engineering experience in a manufacturing or product development environment.
• Experience using 3D CAD software for mechanical design and documentation.
• Knowledge of engineering fundamentals including mechanics, materials, and machine design.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct engineering analysis and support product validation activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and with customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical concepts and perform design analysis, including structural (FEA), thermal, dynamic, and motion system evaluations.
• Review and negotiate specifications; lead internal and customer-facing design reviews. Communicate design intent to customers.
• Create detailed product documentation, including CAD models, assembly/layout drawings, BOMs, and ECR/ECN.
• Validate designs through testing to ensure compliance with internal standards and customer specifications.
• Provide technical support to customers and assist field service personnel as needed.
• Support sales efforts by evaluating RFQs, estimating BOMs, and preparing proposal drawings and technical content.
