Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a Mechanical Engineer – Current Products to develop mechanical designs for motors, actuators, and motion control solutions. You will perform design analysis, validate performance, and support customer applications while collaborating with electromagnetic, manufacturing, and field teams.

You will create CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and ECNs, review specifications, and assist with RFQs and proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
• Experience using 3D CAD software for mechanical design and documentation.
• Knowledge of mechanics, materials, and machine design.
• Experience interpreting drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials.
• Strong communication skills across cross-functional teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical concepts and perform design analysis (FEA, thermal, dynamic, motion systems).
• Review specifications and lead design reviews with internal and customer-facing teams.
• Communicate design intent to customers.
• Create CAD models, assembly/layout drawings, BOMs, and ECR/ECN documentation.
• Validate designs through testing to ensure compliance with internal standards and customer specs.
• Provide technical support to customers and assist field service personnel as needed.
• Support sales by evaluating RFQs, estimating BOMs, and preparing proposal drawings and technical content.
