Job summary

Advanced Technology Group is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to provide engineering analysis, design, and fabrication support for highly technical projects in a manufacturing team environment.

The role involves planning, directing, and testing projects, interpreting complex customer specifications, and developing calculations and documentation under NQA-1 quality systems. Nuclear-related design experience is valued.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Strong machine design and stainless steel sheet metal design experience.
• Familiarity with Nuclear QA standards (NQA-1) desired.
• Experience with Nuclear Glovebox, Pharmaceutical Isolator, or Pressure Vessel design preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and interpret specifications, data sheets, P&ID’s, 3D models and drawings.
• Develop 3D models and detailed manufacturing plans.
• Prepare and verify design calculations against requirements.
• Lead technical reviews and coordinate with manufacturing teams.
• Develop production travelers and support fabrication.
• Assist in quality conformance documentation and NCRs.
