Job summary

Winpak Lane Inc. in Rialto, California seeks a Mechanical Engineer I to design, draft, analyze, and validate parts and 3D models for packaging machinery.

You will work hands-on in both office and manufacturing settings, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet performance, safety, and sanitation standards. Ideal candidates have a Mechanical Engineering degree, 3+ years of related experience, proficiency in SolidWorks and Autodesk, and strong communication skills to support project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of progressive engineering experience in mechanical design or related manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and design documentation.
• Experience using SolidWorks and Autodesk to create mechanical designs, assemblies, drawings, or 3D models.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop machine parts, equipment layouts, assemblies, diagrams, and 3D models for packaging machinery.
• Apply engineering principles to evaluate designs, troubleshoot equipment issues, and support validation of new or modified designs.
• Review specifications and design data to assess feasibility, cost, maintenance needs, and application requirements.
• Specify components and recommend design modifications to ensure performance, safety, sanitation, and engineering requirements.
• Create and maintain bills of materials per engineering standards; collaborate with teams to ensure on-time delivery.
• Support system issue resolution, machine assembly, testing, and technical communication with internal teams, vendors, or customers.
