Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of progressive mechanical design experience.
• Experience reading engineering blueprints and drawings.
• Experience using SolidWorks and Autodesk for 3D designs.
• Ability to work independently with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop machine parts, layouts, assemblies, and 3D models for packaging machinery.
• Evaluate designs, troubleshoot issues, and support validation of new or modified designs.
• Review specs and data to assess feasibility, cost, maintenance needs, and requirements.
• Specify equipment components and ensure performance, safety, and sanitation.
• Create and maintain bills of materials per engineering standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, drafters, manufacturing, purchasing, and other teams to meet project goals.
• Support equipment failure investigations and testing.
