Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in the United States to join their team. You will conceptualize, design, and refine mechanical systems for new product development and enhancements, working closely with manufacturing and R&D to realize concepts and solve complex engineering challenges.

You will develop detailed 3D CAD designs, perform analyses, create BOMs, and ensure designs meet manufacturability and regulatory requirements in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of mechanical design experience in product development.
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor) and FEA tools.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, molding, sheet metal).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical designs for components and assemblies with 3D CAD; create manufacturing-ready drawings.
• Perform stress and thermal analyses and other simulations to validate designs.
• Create and maintain BOMs and technical documentation for parts and assemblies.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to resolve production issues and improve manufacturability.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Research new materials and technologies for future designs.
