Job summary

Agilis Engineering, Inc. seeks Mechanical Design Engineer(s) at all levels to design complex machinery balancing requirements and constraints across diverse projects. The role emphasizes using a variety of software, meeting schedules, budgets, and delivering robust designs.

Candidates should collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in customer reviews, and mentor peers. Hybrid/on-site work is available at multiple US locations, including San Diego, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering (mechanical or aerospace).
• Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Create conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs meeting requirements, including function, assembly, weight, cost, and schedule.
• Perform preliminary analyses to confirm design integrity before final analysis or drafting.
• Deliverables align with Agilis QMS requirements.
• Maintain proficiency with Agilis analysis tools and customer tools.
• Work well in a team and participate in customer reviews as needed.
• Identify and resolve problems; offer alternative solutions in group settings.
• Understand tasks in the context of overall program plan, schedule, and budget.
• Provide in-house mentoring and training on techniques and tools.
• Performs other tasks as required.
