The ideal candidate has 7+ years in mechanical engineering, CAD proficiency, and leadership capabilities. This role offers a hybrid work model and opportunities for advanced certifications in a mature manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years' experience in mechanical engineering with manufacturing focus.
• Proficient in CAD and manufacturing techniques (machining, welding, assembly).
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma desirable.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and optimization of mechanical systems in a manufacturing setting.
• Develop tooling, fixtures, and automation solutions.
• Conduct root cause analysis for defects and equipment failures; implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production to improve line efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of new manufacturing equipment.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance in East London facilities.
