Job summary

Aero Simulation, Inc. (ASI) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and analyze the mechanical aspects of simulated training devices using SolidWorks, including weldments, sheet metal, assemblies, and drawings.

The role requires collaboration with Systems and Electrical teams, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting manufacturing with design changes and cost estimations; U.S. citizenship and security clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 3–7 years mechanical design experience.
  • Experience with SolidWorks and CAD tools.
  • DoD contractor background is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create/modify designs that meet functional and performance requirements.
  • Produce mechanical designs and details that are manufacturable, ergonomic, reliable, and maintainable.
  • Create new parts, assemblies, and drawings in SolidWorks; mentor junior engineers.
