Job summary

Anduril Industries in Irvine, CA seeks a Senior Manager, Mechanical Engineer to own rapid prototyping and scale legacy designs to production. You will lead a team of engineers, ensure robust design, testing, and validation processes, and collaborate with the Chief Engineer to deliver production-ready systems worldwide.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in mechanical/electromechanical design with leadership experience, CAD/GD&T proficiency, and experience with manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of mechanical/electromechanical design experience with engineering management.
• Proven experience transitioning products from concepts into ruggedized fielded products.
• 3D CAD proficiency and GD&T to create high quality drawings.
• Experience with production processes (machining, sheet metal, injection molding, welding, wire harnessing, 3D printing).
• BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Family of Systems Development from concept through production.
• Manage and mentor a team of ~5-6 Mechanical Engineers.
• Oversee full-cycle Subsystem and LRU development including design, validation and transition to manufacturing.
• Ensure engineering excellence through design reviews, analysis, and hardware testing.
• Coordinate with internal and manufacturing, quality, and reliability teams for documentation and delivery.
• Support hardware demonstrations with customers as needed.
