Job summary

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of mechanical design engineering experience.
• Strong experience with SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, NX, Pro/E or comparable 3D CAD software.
• Experience creating manufacturing drawings, BOMs and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of GD&T and design-for-manufacturing principles.
• Defense manufacturing experience and Navy/maritime exposure is a plus.

Revere Staffing is looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity supporting a Navy-related project with a defense manufacturer in Hudson, Massachusetts.

Position: Mechanical Design Engineer – Defense Manufacturing

Pay: $45.00–$52.00 per hour, with possible flexibility based on experience

Location: Hudson, MA — fully onsite

Employment Type: Approximately 18-month contract with the possibility of extension or permanent employment

Job Summary

The Mechanical Design Engineer will support the design and development of mechanical hardware, equipment, components and assemblies for a Navy-related manufacturing project. The first eight months are expected to focus primarily on design, followed by continued engineering and manufacturing support throughout the remainder of the project.

The company is seeking a versatile, hands‑on engineer who can work across different areas of mechanical design and help move the project from initial design through manufacturing and production.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing engineering support throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications

• Approximately 5–10 years of mechanical design engineering experience preferred
• Strong experience with SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, NX, Pro/E or comparable 3D CAD software
• Experience designing mechanical hardware, equipment, components or assemblies
• Experience creating manufacturing drawings, BOMs and technical documentation
• Knowledge of GD&T and design‑for‑manufacturing principles
• Broad, hands‑on mechanical engineering and manufacturing background
• Ability to work independently and handle different engineering responsibilities
• Defense manufacturing experience is preferred
• Navy, maritime, marine or shipboard‑equipment experience is a major plus
• Mechanical‑electrical integration experience is helpful but not required
• Must be willing and able to work fully onsite in Hudson, MA
• Must be comfortable accepting a long‑term contract assignment
