What You'll Do:
- Design, develop, test, implement, build, and install mechanical and electromechanical equipment for Navy platforms and defense systems.
- Create detailed mechanical designs, engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Support electronics packaging design, mechanical integration, and hardware development activities.
- Perform modeling, simulation, analysis, and engineering evaluations to support product development.
- Conduct environmental testing and support qualification activities to validate product performance.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve producibility, assembly processes, and product quality.
- Support installation planning, field implementation, and sustainment activities.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, engineering investigations, and problem-solving activities.
- Assist in prototype development, testing, and validation efforts.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
- 2+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, Hardware Design, Electromechanical Systems, or related engineering fields with a Bachelor's degree; or 6+ months of experience with a Master's degree.
- 2+ years of experience creating mechanical designs, engineering drawings, models, or technical documentation.
- 2+ years of experience supporting product development, testing, qualification, manufacturing support, or systems integration activities.
- 1+ years of experience utilizing CAD software to create mechanical models and detailed drawings.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline.
