Employment Type: 6+ Month Contract-to-Hire (C2H) or Direct Hire
Work Arrangement: Local candidates preferred
W2 Pay Rate: $30.00–$40.00/hour (Contract)
Direct Hire Salary: $50,000–$80,000 annually

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing team in a hands-on engineering and product development environment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical design experience using SolidWorks (SWX) and be comfortable taking designs from concept through detailed development and production.
This role will involve significant design-from-scratch work, as well as redesign and modification of existing components. The successful candidate will work closely with management and may collaborate with contract manufacturers, vendors, and potentially customers. The ability to work effectively in a small, dynamic startup environment and adapt to changing responsibilities is important.
Candidates with experience using other major CAD platforms, such as Creo, Siemens NX, or CATIA, may also be considered if they have strong mechanical design experience and can demonstrate the ability to transition to SolidWorks.
A portfolio or work samples demonstrating mechanical design experience is highly preferred and may be requested during the interview process.
