Job summary

MSS Solutions, LLC in Lexington, SC is seeking a Project Manager - Mechanical with strong experience in mechanical piping, sheet metal, and HVAC systems to lead complex construction projects. You will coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The role requires hands-on leadership, excellent communication with clients and subcontractors, and the ability to manage budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in Mechanical Construction (mechanical piping, sheet metal, HVAC)
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a two-year college, military training or technical school preferred
• Proven success in managing large projects
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Must pass a background check and drug test
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operations manual, and written directions
• Ability to communicate with internal and external customers
• Ability to write reports
• Physical Demands: lifting up to 50 lbs frequently, up to 25 lbs constantly

Responsibilities

• Determine mechanical construction needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet customer facilities requirements.
• Primary point of contact for all project activities with General Contractor or Customer.
• Approve invoices.
• Provide complete closeout documentation and warranty coverage.
• Develop scope of work and project specifications.
• Coordinate project schedule.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders for subcontractors.
• Negotiate prices with vendors/sub-contractors to optimize costs.
• Coordinate with inter-company divisions.
• Manage field level supervision.
• Document work by maintaining files for each job.
• Review and maintain cost estimates of materials, subcontractors, installed equipment, and other project activities.
• Monthly job status reporting, productivity tracking, and budget updates.
• Work with engineering on equipment specs and pricing.
• Up to 20% travel required.
• Other duties as assigned by the company.
