MSS Solutions, LLC in Charleston, SC is seeking a Project Engineer – Design and Development. You will determine project needs, develop relationships with clients, and drive design and construction documentation to meet facilities requirements.

The role requires a PE license, proficiency with HVAC concepts, Revit and AutoCAD, and strong communication. On-site work, occasional travel, and a commitment to safety and quality are expected, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineering (PE) License required.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction plans and specifications.
• Understanding of HVAC systems and controls and basic HVAC principles, concepts, and calculations.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficient with all Microsoft Office-related products.
• Regular and supervisory probation as applicable, background check and drug test.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Determines project needs, constraints and responsibilities to meet customer facilities requirements.
• Develop relationships with owners, facility managers, project managers, design engineers and others to facilitate design and operations.
• Survey and appraise building systems for value-adding opportunities.
• Develop equipment specs and construction drawings ensuring accuracy of quantities and configurations.
• Prepare solutions design, proposals and presentations.
• Manage submittal reviews to maintain scope and schedule.
• Provide project engineering support and PE review as needed.
