MSS Solutions, LLC is seeking a Project Manager - Mechanical in Zebulon, NC. The role involves coordinating mechanical construction projects, serving as main contact with General Contractors, and managing scopes, schedules, and costs.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in mechanical construction, including piping, sheet metal, and HVAC, with the ability to read blueprints, manage budgets, and supervise field staff. Travel up to 20% is expected, with a strong emphasis on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in Mechanical Construction, specifically mechanical piping, sheet metal and HVAC equipment.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a two-year college, military training or technical school preferred.
• Proven success in managing large projects, with ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and written directions.

Responsibilities

• Determine Mechanical Construction needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet customer facilities requirements.
• Primary point of contact for all project activities with GC or Customer.
• Approve invoices and provide complete closeout documentation and warranty coverage.
• Develop scope of work and project specifications; coordinate project schedule.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders for subcontractors; negotiate prices to optimize costs.
• Manage field level supervision; coordinate with inter-company divisions; maintain project files.
• Review cost estimates for materials, subcontractors, and equipment; provide monthly status reporting and budget updates.
