Job summary

Batchelor & Kimball is seeking a Construction Project Manager with strong leadership to oversee pre-construction through project closeout in a fast-paced environment. You will manage budgets, schedules and subcontractor contracts while coordinating with engineers, architects and vendors to meet client goals.

The ideal candidate brings at least 5 years in construction leadership on large-scale projects, excellent communication, and a focus on cost control and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or 10+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 years of experience in the construction field leading projects up to $15M in scope.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with project budgeting, scheduling and subcontractor management.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with engineers and architects.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Pre-construction, preplanning, and construction project scheduling process.
• Review and approve project budgets (labor, material, and subcontractors) to determine allocation of resources.
• Negotiate and create subcontractor contracts with external vendors to maximize project profitability.
• Manage project finances including profitability and cash flow.
• Lead strategic planning, submittals, RFIs and change order processes.
• Implement monthly cost reports and accurate cost projections.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
