Job summary

Batchelor & Kimball, a leading mechanical contractor, seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support design, pre-construction, and construction phases. You will assist with scope, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and bid processes while coordinating with design teams and subcontractors.

The role requires independence, multitasking, and strong communication. A BA/Associates degree is preferred, with 2+ years in construction and proficiency in MS Project and Office tools.

Qualifications

• BA/Associates degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings.
• Working knowledge of project budgeting and pricing of materials and labor.
• 2+ years of experience in the construction field and may lead projects up to $2.5M in scope.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Project Management team to help manage and estimate construction projects.
• Reviews drawings for correctness and assembles details for bids.
• Develops relationships with sub-contractors for bid information.
• Assist with monthly Work in Progress (WIP) reports and budget adherence.
• Maintain project schedule and coordinate activities to meet deadlines.
• Control project costs by monitoring expenditures and contracts.
• Prepare project status reports and analyze trends for action.
• Travel to job sites to review progress and provide solutions.
