Job summary

Mechanical Systems Company is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction PM to lead commercial and industrial HVAC, piping, plumbing, and controls projects from preconstruction through completion. You will manage teams, project financials, schedules, and stakeholder coordination to ensure successful delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Construction Management or equivalent experience, 2+ years in commercial construction PM, and proficiency with project management software.

Qualifications

• Lead commercial mechanical construction projects from planning through closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
• Track job performance and identify opportunities to improve project profitability.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and project priorities with field leadership.
• Build productive relationships with general contractors, owners, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project partners.
• Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and scope requirements.
• Oversee submittals, RFIs, change orders, RFPs, and other construction documentation.
• Monitor job costs, schedules, and milestones throughout the project lifecycle.

Pay: $100,000 - $120,000 yearly, based on experience

Location: Memphis, TN | Job Profitability Incentive Bonuses

Schedule: 40+ hours weekly | Monday through Friday | Overtime as needed

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Lead commercial mechanical construction projects from planning through closeout

• Identify potential delays, scope conflicts, and cost concerns and develop solutions before they impact the project
• Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication between office and field teams
• Support procurement and ensure materials and equipment are available when needed
• Maintain accountability for safety, quality, schedule, financial performance, and customer expectations
• Drive projects toward successful completion and an organized closeout

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or comparable construction industry experience
• Minimum two years of commercial construction project management experience
• Experience with mechanical, HVAC, piping, or plumbing construction strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, RFIs, RFPs, submittals, and change orders
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to hold teams accountable and solve problems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and other relevant project management software
• Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record
