Job Description: Precision AirConvey seeks an experienced Mechanical CAD/BIM Designer to join our industry leading organization. Working with the Envac North America project and engineering teams, the Mechanical CAD/BIM Designer will develop and maintain technical drawings, BIM models, system layouts, and fabrication documentation for Envac pneumatic waste and linen collection systems. The right candidate will have 3+ years of professional CAD/BIM experience, hands‑on expertise with Revit, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks, and the ability to coordinate complex mechanical systems within large building projects. You will have the benefit of working for the largest and most renowned provider in this industry and will work closely with long‑tenured industry experts.
This role supports projects from design and coordination through construction and installation, working with internal engineering personnel, project managers, customers, architects, engineers, contractors, and international Envac resources. Detail‑oriented designers who enjoy solving spatial and constructability challenges on large commercial, healthcare, residential, and institutional projects are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Revit models and BIM documentation for Envac pneumatic waste and linen collection systems
- Produce system plans, sections, elevations, details, schematics, equipment layouts, and installation drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
- Use BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud for multidisciplinary coordination, model and drawing management, issue tracking, and document control
- Coordinate Envac system layouts with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and other building systems
- Review architectural and engineering backgrounds, identify spatial conflicts or constructability concerns, and incorporate project changes into models and drawings
- Participate in BIM coordination and design review meetings and incorporate agreed‑upon revisions into project documentation
- Develop and maintain Revit families and reusable BIM content for Envac equipment, piping, valves, terminals, load stations, and related components
- Prepare and revise SolidWorks models and drawings for equipment, assemblies, fabricated components, and project‑specific mechanical designs
- Support fabrication and shop drawings and coordinate design information with manufacturing and installation personnel
- Maintain drawing and model accuracy in accordance with company standards, customer requirements, project BIM execution plans, and approved system designs
- Assist with quantity takeoffs, equipment schedules, bills of materials, proposal and concept drawings, RFIs, submittals, field coordination, and as‑built documentation
- Maintain organized project files, drawing revisions, model versions, document control records, and accurate project time tracking
- Coordinate with Envac engineering resources in North America and internationally to incorporate standard products, system requirements, and design practices
Requirements
- Hold an associate's or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Drafting/Design Technology, BIM, CAD, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or comparable professional experience
- Have 3+ years of professional CAD/BIM experience, preferably in construction, MEP, mechanical equipment, material handling, industrial, or building systems
- Have professional experience with Autodesk Revit and BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
- Be proficient in AutoCAD for 2D technical and construction drawings and SolidWorks for 3D mechanical modeling, assemblies, and fabrication drawings
- Be able to read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction documents
- Understand BIM coordination practices, dimensions, tolerances, mechanical layouts, and technical drawing standards
- Be able to work from engineering concepts, sketches, markups, specifications, and verbal direction while managing multiple projects and deadlines
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Have computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and PDF drawing review and markup software
- Be available for limited travel to customer sites, construction sites, manufacturing facilities, or project meetings, primarily within the United States and Canada; a valid driver's license and the ability to drive are required
- Be able to access construction or manufacturing areas as needed and follow applicable safety and PPE requirements
- Experience with large commercial, healthcare, residential, institutional, or infrastructure projects, contractor‑led BIM/VDC coordination, Revit family creation, and Navisworks or similar clash‑detection software is preferred
- Experience coordinating mechanical piping, conveying, material‑handling, or similar systems is a plus
