Job summary

MAAG Group in Roanoke, VA is seeking an Assembler, Mechanical to join our Eagle Rock assembly floor. You will assemble dryers and TWS systems, balance rotors, and build piping assemblies while following 2D drawings. The role requires forklift training and a strong work ethic.

The position is full-time on-site with potential overtime or weekend work and a focus on safety, quality, and meeting delivery dates. Excellent teamwork and communication are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; additional technical skills a plus.
• Mechanical background and general understanding of tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Independent self-starter with ability to problem solve and anticipate issues.
• Strong team player with work ethic and customer focus.
• Work overtime and weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble dryer rotors and housings using hand tools and power tools referencing 2D drawings.
• Balance rotors on dryers using overhead cranes and balancing equipment.
• Build and mount dryer component parts like agglomerate catchers and pellet diverter valves.
• Perform leak tests on dryer and tank housings with soap water and air.
• Engrave equipment name plates using engraver or lazer/dot peen marker.
• Fill out check sheets during assembly to ensure quality.
• Assemble piping using hand tools and power tools.
• Other tasks as assigned by manager.
