Job summary

Maag Gala, Inc. is seeking an Assembler, Mechanical to join the Eagle Rock assembly floor in Roanoke, VA. You will assemble dryers and related components, balance rotors, and perform leak tests while referencing 2D drawings. A strong quality focus and safety mindset are essential.

Responsibilities include using hand and power tools, operating lifting equipment, and documenting checks. The role may require overtime and weekend work based on production needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education (additional technical skills a plus)
• Mechanical background and a general understanding of tools

Responsibilities

• Assemble dryer rotors and housings using hand tools and power tools by referencing 2D assembly drawings.
• Balance rotors on all size dryers using overhead cranes and balancing equipment.
• Build and mount dryer component parts such as agglomerate catchers and pellet diverter valves using hand tools and air tools while referencing 2D assembly drawings.
• Perform leak tests on dryer and tank housings using soap water and air
• Engrave equipment name plates using engraver (or) laser marker (or) dot peen marker.
• Fills out check sheets while assembling the equipment to ensure the quality of the product meets expectation.
• Put together piping assemblies using hand tools and power tools.
• Other tasks as assigned by manager.
