Job summary

MAAG Gala, Inc. in Roanoke, VA is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to assemble the Maag family of equipment, including dryers and TWS systems, to meet customer delivery dates.

The role primarily operates on the Eagle Rock assembly floor with occasional Roanoke site work. You will read 2D drawings, assemble rotors and housings with hand and power tools, use cranes and balancing equipment, perform leak tests, engrave name plates, and complete check sheets to ensure product quality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; mechanical background a plus.
• Ability to read and reference 2D assembly drawings.
• Willingness to operate hand and power tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Assemble dryer rotors and housings using hand/power tools per 2D drawings.
• Balance rotors on dryers using cranes and balancing equipment.
• Build piping assemblies and mount components; perform leak tests.
• Engrave name plates and complete quality check sheets.
• Support additional tasks as assigned by management.
