Job summary

Gala Industries, Inc. (Maag Gala, Inc. division) is hiring a Mechanical Assembly Technician to assemble dryers and related equipment on the Eagle Rock, VA floor. You will reference 2D drawings to build rotors, housings, and piping, then balance rotors and perform leak tests to ensure quality on delivery.

The role requires a High School diploma with mechanical aptitude; strong communication, organization, and teamwork are essential. Overtime and occasional travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized and efficient in approaching tasks.
• Independent self-starter with ability to problem solve and anticipate and avoid issues.

Responsibilities

• Assemble dryer rotors and housings using hand and power tools per 2D drawings.
• Balance rotors on dryers using cranes and balancing equipment.
• Assemble piping, test for leaks, and engrave equipment name plates.
