Job summary

Connect-Force, a well-established industrial machinery company in Metro Detroit, seeks a Technical Sales Engineer to bridge engineering and customers. On-site, full-time, you will translate needs into machine concepts and manage technical proposals.

You’ll work with engineering, manufacturing and procurement teams, review RFQs, prepare quotes, estimate costs, and present solutions to customers. This role rewards hands-on problem solving and growth within a growing organization.

Qualifications

• Experience reading mechanical drawings and electrical documentation.
• Proven ability to prepare technical proposals, quotations and scopes.
• Capable of estimating project costs and engineering hours.
• Strong communication with customers and internal teams.
• Experience with industrial machinery or automated systems.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer manufacturing needs, specs and project goals.
• Review RFQs, drawings and specifications to define requirements.
• Develop technical concepts and equipment solutions for automated systems.
• Prepare detailed proposals, quotations and cost estimates.
• Estimate engineering hours, labor, materials and parts.
• Present concepts and proposals to customers and support during the sales process.
• Build strong customer relationships and act as a technical resource.
