Job summary

Kearfott Corporation, a leader in precision motion control and inertial navigation, seeks a Mechanical Engineering Analyst to perform structural, vibration, and thermal analyses on GND products. You will interface with multiple engineering disciplines and program teams to ensure components meet technical requirements.

Responsibilities include FEA, material selection, 3D/2D design in SolidWorks, and PDM configuration management. On-site work in Pine Brook, NJ with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 4+ years of post-graduation experience in FEA.
• Experience with thermal and stress analysis.
• Aerospace/Defense background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform FEA on complex electromechanical systems including thermal and stress analysis.
• Document and recommend FEA results for peer and customer reviews.
• Present analysis data to engineering teams and program managers at design reviews.
• Select materials with adequate structural margins of safety and good load paths.
• Develop 3D and 2D components and assemblies using SolidWorks CAD.
• Create electronics enclosures and packaging concepts.
• Manage configurations in SolidWorks PDM environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet mechanical requirements.
