Job summary

FAMU National Alumni Association is seeking a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to design and develop mechanical and aerospace systems, create CAD models and manufacturing drawings, and perform analyses to support design decisions.

Lead prototyping and testing, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage tasks, and ensure compliance with DoD standards, safety requirements, and quality practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Systems, or Materials Engineering required.
• A minimum of two years of relevant mechanical or aerospace engineering experience preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD modeling and assemblies; knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical and aerospace systems and create CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
• Perform engineering analyses to support design decisions and lead prototyping.
• Lead prototyping and testing and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with DoD standards, safety requirements and quality practices.
