Job summary

AerSale, Inc. seeks a Design Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and review 3D CAD models and aircraft installations, ensuring compliance with functional and regulatory requirements.

You will create, check, and release detailed drawings, verify strength criteria per FARs, support STC and PMA test procedures, and collaborate with manufacturing, certification, and quality to advance approved designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience as a design mechanical engineer.
• Experience with FAA FARs and certification processes is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and review 3D CAD models and mock-ups of mechanical components, systems, and aircraft installations.
• Create, check, and release detailed part, assembly, and installation drawings per engineering standards.
• Verify designs meet strength requirements and FAA regulations (FARs).
• Support development and review of test procedures for STCs and PMA applications.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, certification, and quality teams to support design and compliance.
