Job summary

RFA Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of mechanical products and systems. The role includes creating 3D models and drawings, investigating failures, supporting prototypes, and collaborating with manufacturing and validation teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling and engineering drawing creation (Creo preferred).
• Experience analyzing product or component failures and performing root cause analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications, drawings, and test results.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with engineering, manufacturing, and validation teams.
• Ability to support prototype, pilot, and production builds in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines and other mechanical devices.
• Investigate equipment failures and diagnose faults to support maintenance.
• Develop and modify engineering documentation, 3-D models, drawings, and product structures.
• Support product development and cost reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with validation engineers to support testing activities and ensure robust product performance.
• Develop design concepts for fabricated structures, mounting systems, castings, machined components.
