Custom Manufacturing & Engineering (CME) in Tampa Bay invites an eager Mechanical Engineer I/II to design and develop mechanical systems for aerospace, defense, and energy sectors. You will move concepts to manufacturing, creating detailed 3D models, drawings, and documentation while supporting prototyping, testing, and qualification.

Ideal candidates bring CAD proficiency, basic GD&T, and a hands-on mindset to work with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of mechanical design principles and tolerancing.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and specs.
• Familiarity with CAD tools and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical parts, assemblies, and electro-mechanical systems.
• Create and update 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and docs.
• Support prototype builds, testing, and production.
• Troubleshoot mechanical/electro-mechanical issues and identify root causes.
• Collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and customers.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electro-mechanical issues and help identify root causes.
