Qualifications

  • Lead and supervise the maintenance team, including assigning work, establishing priorities, providing technical guidance, training employees, and monitoring performance.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment and related systems to support safe, reliable, and efficient Manufacturing.
  • Manage the preventive maintenance program, including scheduling, completion, documentation, and periodic evaluation of program effectiveness.
  • Assess equipment problems, maintenance requests, and ongoing projects to establish priorities, coordinate repairs, and minimize Manufacturing downtime.
  • Provide technical support for equipment setups, changeovers, and adjustments as required.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Manufacturing on equipment installation, relocation, modification, and improvement, providing maintenance input to promote reliability, maintainability, and safe operation.
  • Identify recurring equipment problems and work with Engineering and Manufacturing to determine and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Manage spare-parts, maintenance-supply, and tool inventories, including purchasing and replenishment as necessary to support manufacturing operations.
  • Oversee general plant and building maintenance within the Maintenance Department's areas of responsibility.
  • Coordinate outside contractors and service providers when specialized maintenance, repair, or facility services are required.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are performed safely and that maintenance personnel understand and follow applicable safety procedures and safe work practices.
  • Maintain appropriate maintenance and equipment-repair records.
  • Participate in the interviewing, selection, onboarding, training, and development of maintenance personnel.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing the maintenance of manufacturing equipment and plant facilities to support safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations. This position leads the maintenance team, establishes work priorities, manages preventive and corrective maintenance activities, and works closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to minimize equipment downtime and maintain manufacturing capability.

The Maintenance Supervisor is a hands-on leader with strong mechanical aptitude and technical troubleshooting skills who can effectively balance preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, Manufacturing requirements, and longer-term maintenance priorities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and work in positions necessary to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment.
  • Availability to work outside normal working hours, including occasional overtime or weekends, when necessary to address Manufacturing or facility needs.
  • Ability to travel between company facilities as required.
