Job summary

Canteen North America is hiring a full-time Mechanic I in Vista, CA. The role operates and maintains HVAC systems, boilers, generators and steam equipment, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Previous small equipment repair experience is preferred and a Type I Refrigeration Certification with a valid Non-CDL Class C license are required.

Willing to train and a $24.84 hourly wage support a stable, long-term career path with Compass Group’s Canteen.

Qualifications

• Previous small equipment repair experience preferred.
• Type I Refrigeration Certification required.
• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain HVAC systems, boilers, generators and steam equipment.
• Read meters and gauges to verify operating conditions.
• Respond to dispatch calls for machine repairs.
• Inspect, replace worn parts and test machine operation.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and inventory.
