Job summary

Compass Group USA's Canteen division in Hanover, MD is hiring a full-time MECHANIC I to operate and maintain vending equipment, HVAC, boilers, and related systems.

The role calls for previous vending repair experience, a Type I Refrigeration Certification, and a valid Non-CDL Class C license; schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–4:00 pm, with some nights and weekends. We offer full benefits and career growth opportunities at Canteen.

Qualifications

• Previous vending repair experience required.
• Type I Refrigeration Certification.
• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment including HVAC, boilers, generators and steam systems.
• Read and record data from meters and gauges to verify operating conditions.
• Respond to dispatch calls for machine repairs and service existing customers.
• Inspect, dismantle, replace worn parts, realign components and test operations.
• Manage inventory, order parts and maintain equipment records.
• Set up and operate mechanical tools for machine repair.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with safety policies.
• Provide professional customer service and teamwork.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
