Job summary

Canteen is hiring for a full-time Mechanic I at 100 North Pendleton Street, High Point, NC 27260. The role involves operating and maintaining HVAC systems, boilers, generators, and steam equipment; on-call rotation; and performing machine repairs as needed.

Prior technical experience is preferred and a Type I Refrigeration Certification is required. The position offers a standard full-time schedule with hours varying and online applications accepted.

Qualifications

• Previous technical experience preferred.
• Type I Refrigeration Certification required.
• Valid Non-CDL Class C driverrs license required.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains all equipment, including HVAC systems, high-pressure boilers, generators and steam equipment.
• Reads and records information from meters and gauges at specified intervals to verify operating conditions.
• Responds to dispatch calls for machine repairs using company vehicle.
• Inspects parts to detect wear and performs repairs as needed.
• Maintains equipment inventory and orders parts as required.
