Job summary

PRICE ELECTRIC in Robins, IA, seeks a Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair gas and diesel equipment across our construction fleet. You’ll perform tests, preventive maintenance, and service calls to ensure safety and reliability.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical education/certification with 3+ years of diagnostic experience, including welding, and a valid CDL is a plus. We offer competitive wages and comprehensive benefits.

PRICE ELECTRIC is hiring a skilled Mechanic out of our Robins, IA facility to inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair gas and diesel equipment. This role supports our construction fleet to ensure safety, reliability, and performance.

What you'll do:

• Inspect and maintain company vehicle fleet and construction equipment (boring drills, excavators, skid loaders, etc.) including internal systems and controls
• Perform test drives and run diagnostic tests
• Diagnose mechanical issues through testing and troubleshooting
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to keep company vehicles safe
• Complete service logs and report equipment issues
• Perform mobile welding and respond to service calls

What we're looking for:

• Mechanical education/certification (or equivalent) and 3+ years of experience diagnosing and maintaining gas/diesel engines and equipment (including welding)
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical job duties - full range of motion and dexterity; walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing
• Ability to read manuals and use computer systems
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Valid Class A CDL preferred but not required, if an otherwise qualified candidate with a valid Driver License wishes to obtain a Class A CDL, the company may assist with CDL training and testing costs and additional compensation would be discussed
