Edinburg CISD is seeking a Mechanic Assistant to support the Transportation Department. SALARY RANGE: $15.97 Minimum $22.51 Maximum PAY GRADE: AU3
PRIMARY PURPOSE: The role of the Mechanic Assistant is to be responsible for performing any duties or tasks directed of him, which will assist the mechanic in the performance of his assigned duties.
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Texas Commercial Driver's license with Passenger & School Bus Endorsements (Class B)
Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to diagnose minor mechanical problems and perform repairs with supervision Ability to operate tools and equipment involved in vehicle repair Ability to lift heavy equipment and vehicle parts up to 50 lbs. Ability to pass required bus driver safety training Ability to operate bus Ability to pass alcohol and drug test Acceptable driving record
Experience:
One year experience in minor vehicle repair and maintenance
