Job summary

Edinburg CISD is seeking a Mechanic Assistant to support the Transportation Department. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas Commercial Driver's license with Passenger & School Bus Endorsements (Class B) required.
• Ability to diagnose minor mechanical problems and perform repairs under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist the mechanic in performing duties and repairs.
• Remove old parts and acquire necessary tools.
• Washes and cleans parts and vehicles; keep shop area clean.
• Operate hydraulic lifts and other shop equipment safely.
• Assist with safety practices and route driving as needed.
