Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must obtain Class B CDL with passenger endorsement within 60 days of eligibility.
• Must pass aptitude and standardized tests; tests administered on UTA time; test fee paid for qualifying employees.
• Must have the required tools.
• Safe driver with no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years.
• No DUI/drug violations in last 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Participates in related technical instruction and classroom instruction as required.
• Demonstrates competency in ten modules within allotted time (Preventative Maintenance, Electrical, Brakes, Air Systems, Air Suspension, Steering and Axles, HVAC/EAC, Wheelchairs, Transmissions, Engines).
• Performs manual tasks under supervision; assists advanced-skill employees in complex repairs and component rebuilds.
• Performs preventative maintenance inspections and related repairs.
