Job summary

LPU Batangas is seeking a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering student for a summer internship to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing processes and efficiency improvements. You will work full-time during the summer, manage a project, and collaborate with colleagues to achieve goals while prioritizing safety and environmental considerations.

The role emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and a proactive attitude toward continuous improvement and cost reduction within a plant

Qualifications

• GPA minimum 3.0.
• Availability for full-time work from late May until early August during the summer intern session.
• Preferred prior manufacturing experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to evaluate and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Highly motivated self-starter with willingness to take ownership and responsibility.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Desire to continuously seek improvement opportunities in efficiency and automation.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop a thorough understanding of factors affecting processes and products, including environmental impacts.
• Manage assigned internship project using sound project management skills.
• Analyze problems and implement solutions using critical thinking and focused improvement methods.
• Incorporate creative thinking to identify unique ways to improve quality and reduce costs.
• Prepare diagrams, charts, and tables to support findings and recommendations.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with a diverse group of associates to achieve project and location goals.
• Participate fully in the plant's Safety Process/Program.
