Job summary

LPU Batangas is seeking an intern to apply Lean Six Sigma principles in a manufacturing environment. You will gain hands-on experience with guidance from a mentor, supporting process improvements, and learning to reduce defects and optimize assembly lines.

The role emphasizes collaboration with design and operations teams, exposure to ergonomics and safety improvements, and opportunities to work on verification methods and process validation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s in Manufacturing/ Industrial & Operations Engineering or related majors.
• Cumulative GPA 3.0+ required.
• Able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Apply Lean Six Sigma principles in a manufacturing setting with mentor guidance.
• Identify and implement improvements to manufacturing processes.
• Reduce defects, rework, or process escapes via mistake-proofing.
• Assist with simple automation, sensing, or verification methods.
• Collaborate with design and operations teams to bring products to market efficiently.
• Work on projects like fixture development, line optimization, ergonomics, and process validation.
