Job summary

Buckhead & Newport Meat and Seafood seeks a production worker to support daily operations in our meat processing facility in New York. Duties include opening meat, de-boxing, carrying boxes, and moving products through the production area, with potential basic equipment operation and sanitation tasks.

Candidates should be comfortable working in refrigerated, wet environments, able to lift heavy items, and collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

• Duties vary within production and may include basic processing tasks.
• Ability to stand, lift and work in cold, wet areas.
• Must be able to work well in a team and learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Open meat and de-boxing as part of production.
• Move boxes and product through production area.

• The ability to smell is required, in order to detect levels of wholesomeness and spoilage
• This position requires the candidate to be in refrigerated processing and warehouse areas. These areas are cold and wet and exposure to moving machinery and sharp surfaces are a regular occurrence.
