Job summary

Price Chopper Supermarkets-Market 32 is hiring for a Meat Department position. You will provide fast, friendly service, help maintain fresh meat products, and ensure proper sanitation and safety in the department.

Your role includes rotating stock, wrapping products, and assisting customers with requests while upholding 5S standards and company policies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly customer service at all times.
• Maintain neat, clean workstation per 5S standards.
• Maintain meat and deli cases: levels, pricing, dates; rotate stock and remove damaged items.
• Prepare and grind sausage and cube steaks; wrap meat products as required.
• Perform sanitation duties in accordance with procedures; keep equipment and floors clean.
• Control shrink per policies and procedures; follow all company rules.

Maintains acceptable product levels for good selection within all meat cases to promote optimal opportunity for sales. Adheres to present standards in preparing and wrapping meat as directed. Maintains proper sanitation and safety standards according to established procedures.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
• Responsible for smiling, making eye contact and thanking customer upon fulfilling customer's request.
• Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, at all times.
• Maintain the meat and deli frozen case to include ensuring adequate product levels, product pricing, product pricing, expiration dates/codes and damages.
• Rotate product to ensure proper coding/dates and removes damaged/expired product.
• Prepare and grind sausage and cube steaks. Wrap meat products as required.
• Responsible for performing sanitation duties within the department, in accordance with corporate and state regulations (i.e.: cleaning meat department equipment, shelves and floors).
• Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Pay Range

$16.75- $20.30
