Job summary

Meijer is looking for a Meat Team Leader to oversee day-to-day merchandising, stocking, product flow, planograms, and pricing for the Meat and Seafood departments. The role directly leads Meat team members and drives both service excellence and financial performance.

The position requires staffing, training, and scheduling responsibilities, with emphasis on maintaining safety, sanitation, and accurate pricing. This is a full-time on-site role embedded in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to train and develop team members.
• Experience staffing, scheduling, and payroll or timekeeping processes.
• Familiarity with pricing, merchandising, and inventory controls.

Responsibilities

• Ensure courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Achieve financial performance goals in Meat and Seafood departments.
• Conduct interviews to maintain proper staffing levels.
• Train Meat team members to build a high-performance team and reduce turnover.
• Create Meat schedules to balance service levels and costs.
• Ensure Real Time Apply is completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain signing execution and pricing accuracy.
• Uphold sanitation and safety procedures for Meijer.
• Control shrinkage with BOH accuracy and proper rotation of products.
• Respond to MITS tasks promptly and complete other duties as assigned.
