Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store leadership professional to plan, direct, and supervise daily operations across departments. You will mentor team members, manage staffing and succession planning, and ensure excellent customer service aligned with company standards.

You will drive sales, control shrink, and uphold safety while maintaining a positive store image. The role requires hands-on leadership during prime hours and a focus on training and development.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members with clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts by addressing root causes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information to inform decisions.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day operations across departments.
• Mentors and coaches team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Ensures staffing, hiring, and career development activities.
• Maintains store appearance, product presentation and adherence to standards.
• Manages P&L, sales targets, and shrink; upholds safety and compliance.
• Delivers Meijer Friendly Initiative in team communications and meetings.
